1993

Flash International is founded for the import of Philips lighting technology in Romania.

1997

Flash Trading House is established.

2001

Flash Lighting Services is created.

2005

The municipalities of Botoșani, Brașov, Buzău, Iași, Tulcea, and Mihail Kogălniceanu delegate public lighting management to Flash Lighting Services.

2009

Flash Lighting Services implements the first PLC-based smart lighting solutions using the InteliLIGHT platform by Flash Net.

2012

The municipalities of Călărași and Alba Iulia entrust public lighting management with smart solutions to Flash Lighting Services.

2015

The Romanian Lighting Association (A.R.I.) is established, with Flash Lighting Services as a founding member.

2016

Târnăveni becomes the first fully smart-lit city in Romania, a project operated by FLS.

2018

Flash Lighting Services introduces innovative systems in Romania such as f-POLe, Light 4 YOU, and ml Smart Fl@sh. The CEE Equity investment fund acquires a 60% stake in Flash Lighting Services SA.

2020

FLS launches EU-funded projects (POR) in Târgu Jiu and Topoloveni to modernize public lighting systems. In the same year, FLS signs the public lighting management contract for Sibiu Municipality.

2021

Celebrating 20 years of experience, FLS expands its smart lighting projects to Pitești and Aiud, and signs a contract for energy efficiency in Tulcea, receiving the “Best Connected Project Outdoor” award from Signify.

2022

FLS signs new public lighting concession contracts with Brașov and Tulcea, following public tenders. Also in 2022, FLS signs the contract for “Modernization and rehabilitation of the exterior lighting for the public and technical areas of AIBB AV: Aurel Vlaicu International Airport.”

2023

FLS signs the largest Traffic Management project in its portfolio and installs festive lighting for the Craiova Christmas Market, ranked second-best in Europe by European Best Destinations.
